DAL ATL Newhire

I'm in a similar boat commuting out of DC. Was planning on NYC, but read somewhere on the forums the DTW might have better flight/seniority options and isn't too bad of a commute either. Any opinions on DTW vs NYC for a new guy commuting...and hoping to keep that commute to a minimum by getting senior in whatever domicile or airplane is best to do that as quickly as possible?
Out of DCA, I'd go for NYC in a heartbeat. Your seniority will be much better, plus you have one of the easiest commutes in the system.

Don't forget the offline options at FedEx. Your team has been great to us over the years…if we can reciprocate we are glad to do so. It will be 2 legs but you can use us to get home at the end of a day vice getting a hotel and being stuck another day….

For a new hire in ATL, how easy it it to sit reserve without a car? Meaning, can you get to a crashpad via public transportation? Not ideal, I'm sure; just wondering if it's possible until being able to get a base transfer.

Ha ha, you should ask how many people don't the list would be shorter. The only harder route to commute on at Delta would be DFW to ATL. Everyone comes down to visit the six foot rat so all the airplanes are overbooked and you have to be right on the jumpseat window if you expect to get one.
