That's a half truth. If you are strictly referring to price, you have a point... sort of. If you are referring to choice of destinations, you are not even close. All the DC consumers are gonna see are more flights to Florida. If that's what they want, then fine, but they should have let the market decide that rather than dictating it via a non competitive bidding process. If DAL would have been allowed to win those slots, and put in flights that were unprofitable, they would go away. But at least the consumer would have had a choice. Wright might be wrong, but so it the "bidding" process.

meh...... they will go where they get the best deal. In the case of LUV, all they get is another government sanctioned monopoly, which for some reason is acceptable when it is little ol' Southwest.

Delta is basically out from getting the 2 DAL gates due to the DOJ stance of awarding it to LCCs. Delta already does numerous flights from DFW to LGA, so what difference does DAL make. VX would be a new entrant to that market. When you say real competition what exactly would that be besides dumping capacity like UAL did at EWR in an attempt to drive out the new entrant? I guess it's only real competition if your airline affects another but not when Emirates does it to you.

Really? A trash product? We offer the same service that every other airline offers, point A to B. I guess the one difference is brand new, clean aircraft, the other difference is we don't pawn ourselves off like some elite airline, with an ultra exclusive service (though we all know it's complete BS, how elite/bougey is first class on an 88, I mean c'mon........GMAFB

The job of getting the airplane from A-B is the same from a pilots perspective but it is a whole different story for the passengers.

I thought only RJ pilots had schlong measuring contests (for which they are berated every now and then. And by every now and then I mean most of the time.)
I love a little hypocrisy. The world thrives on it these days. It smells so good first thing in the morning, too.
