Yeah but some ships were getting a little higher ride on the tide. Let's see your POS contract is amendable in 2011 our POS contract, which still pays more than yours, is amendable in 2009. So you have less pay for a longer time to look forward to. How was it about that tide thing again?

Who did me or you? Were you not getting an 11% raise just to come into parity with our contract then a 7% raise on top of that. The Delta guys were getting a 7% raise period (first year of the contract, all after then I agree same raise for all). You can slant it all you want but it was an extremely good deal for you and a mediocre at best deal for us. I hope it goes away for good, however rumor on this side says they just may be stupid enough to try and cram it down.

Do Northwest pilots who were furloughed after 9-11 receive years of credit while they were furloughed? If so, no change with DAL rules, but if they did not, they would get this credit with a joint contract. If this deal went through all the NW guys who were furloughed after 9-11 would then be credited for time furloughed. If someone was furloughed for 3 years they would receive 3 more years of longevity for pay/vacation credit etc. The way the economy is going and the way this industry is managed could make that more important than pay rate changes for junior guys at both airlines.

Agreed the raise would have been bigger, but ultimately a raise for all. My point was that the raises were going to come from the collective of both NWAs and Deltas wallet.

The cram down alternative was a creation of NWA's management and it is alleged to not include all of the pilots.
There is a pretty stark difference between the prior positions of the two management teams.
If those who say a compromise will be reached are correct, then it will be less than what was already on the table.
No disrespect, but I hope that we can come together to fight this thing, hard.

It seems to me that from the NWALPA's perspective when they bring something to the table (all those 787s, more "premium flying, Tokyo, etc.), its theirs but when DALPA brings something (777, pay rates, DC plan, work rules, 200+ widebody positions, etc.), it's the "collective... wallet". The old what's yours is mine (the collective), and what mine is mine.

Sorry; DC plan. Do you have anything to say about the content of the post? I probably used those commas incorrectly too.
