Pix of 747-400 in DTW
#11
The DL livery and the Midfield Terminal dont match quite like NW's colors do. I'm sure the Delta guys are thrilled to see a 747-400 in DL colors, but i dont really share the enthusiasm. lol
That lone DL 747 at DTW looks like a guy who showed up in a tanktop and overalls to a wedding where everyone was dressed in suits and ties. haha

Guys it doesn't matter if you like the paint job or not....its Delta....we'll come up with a new paint scheme right before the last 10 jets are painted!
In all seriousness, to my new NWA co-workers, I would have to imagine it stinks to watch your old paint scheme go away. I don't think I'd enjoy it if I were on the other end.
That being said, I think this new airline should do very well....and as long as they keep paying me I don't care what color the jets are.

Soup, Surprisingly enough, I do think it is kinda cool. Not enough to think about first thing in the morning, but more so than your other comment. There are 160 combined years of history between us, and I really like the fact that Delta has made an "event" of painting this aircraft quickly, and that they chose a 747-400. It's kinda like throwing down an ace, when anyone sees it, they know what it is, and, just what it means. Delta is saying, "We're here to play, boys, ante up!."
