The 747-400s and 200s are fenced. The 18 787 are fenced no matter what Dal changes them to. The 777s are fenced for Dal and so are their future orders unless they take those planes from the nwa 787 order.

Nwa guys wished we would have fenced both the 330 and the 767 but it didn't happen. On a positive front I heard we are close to closing on a deal for ten more 330s which anyone will be able to bid.

Heard the same thing too. We are "close" on a few aircraft orders!

Questions: If the 747-200s (cargo) are retired what would be considered a replacement? -a (pax) 777? or would it have to be another cargo-configured airplane? Also, what would be considered "from the 787 orders"?-where, on the assembly line sequence/delivery schedule would those 777s come from?

--That is a positive note! Let's hope it happens.... I'm sure the "scarebus" is a great airplane!

We've been two months away from announcing a massive influx of MD90's for two, or three, years now.

But if the DC9 does have a relatively hard limit of 2012, we need to get something on order. Most aircraft have a 24 month, or longer, lead time.

That will be excellent if it were to happen.

Here's an interesting quote from the award:

"But fairness also demands immediate recognition by all that this merger is a mutually beneficial
fait à compli. The power and promise of the merged entities, and with it, the career expectations of all pilots will be fully realized as the constituent groups act to implement this merger."

Translation: We have a unique opportunity to build a powerful airline that will provide us career expectations above and beyond what any of us had to look forward to with our stand alone companies. There is an old saying that a rising tide raises all boats. Likewise, all our career expectations will rise together if the true potential of this merger is realized.
