United CPP comes to Mesa
#301
Saying the CPP is a "10 year wait" at XJT is a misrepresentation. No one has been "waiting" 10+ years at XJT, because of course the XJT CPP is only around 2 years old. The fact that 12 year pilots are moving on to United now is irrelevant to junior pilots in the XJT CPP, where the wait is more like 2-3 years from DOH.

I heard in the IAH crew room that we lost 3 of our APD’s on the Ejet. The names I heard are all pretty senior. I also heard that at least one senior pilot was interviewed and told “No” —- please try again in 6 months. So, getting the interview doesn’t guarantee an offer.
Once we know everyone who received offers out of the rumored 31 (or 23) pilots who were interviewed, we will know how deep the CPP is reaching.
If we lose the CRJ700’s in IAD without replacements, I suspect the United CPP will abruptly end. Losing those jets will signal that United is unhappy with Mesa.
If you believe what we hear coming from Xjet pilots in IAH, United will award the new Ejets to Xjet in the next month or so. I suspect that at the same time, we will know who has lost their CRJ700’s. Meanwhile, I heard our management is confident we have a good possibility of being awarded some of the new Ejets. Of course, I believe our management has its head stuck in the sand.

You are assuming that United will end the CPP program..... I am assuming Mesa will end the program.

No I was assuming just Mesa. UAL pulling the rug from every new hire we got the last half year would give a lot of future new hires everywhere pause about the CPP they would all know that they would be better off flying AA. I just don’t see them damaging the main carrot they have that cost them nothing.
