When did this come out?

Depends how you want to look at that number. XJT sends over a smaller percentage of their pilot group to UA than the percentage of the 300 pilots at CommutAir.

Good question....let’s hope we don’t have to find out

Yeah, I was reading the quote with disbelief too. CommutAir is smaller, and of course, they send over fewer pilots. But as a percentage of base, CommutAir sends over more of their base and much faster than Xjet.

I am still waiting for the first Mesa pilot to go over. A Hogan test doesn’t make the program “real” here. It is when a pilot goes over and at what seniority. If the seniority is similar to Xjet, that will take the winds out of this program as a recruiting tool. We can’t match CommutAir’s 2 years and 2 weeks record of doh to doh, because Mesa’s minimums are already greater than CommutAir’s. So, I can’t see how Mesa recruits pilots for IAD with this program.

Xjet pilots talk about having to retake the Hogan all the time when I talk to them in base. I think they have to wait 6 months.

It's a percentage of United's classes, and how many people have been accepted into the program, not a percentage of the C5 or XJT pilot group. It's doesn't matter the size of the UAX airline, C5 could grow to the same size of XJT and it still would be 25% XJT vs. 10% C5.

But yes, XJT is much much more senior than C5.

When they are accepting to the minimum times at CommutAir, United is taking everyone there as soon as they meet the minimum qualifications (2,000 hours).

Thanks for at least acknowledging Xjet is much more senior. It is much, much more senior. I expect the same thing once Mesa’s CPP program is finally up and running.

FYI, our percentage has steps included in the program. If the pilot size increases at C5, so does the currently now 10%.

I think that you are missing the point of my statement or you just don't like the fact. C5 sends over more pilots to UA per the percentage of the pilot group than any other airline no matter what percentage of the new hire class UA has.

Now, leave the poor guys at Mesa alone and try to recruit somewhere else.

It’s a year to retake.
