Mesa going public
#11
The rumor for 2+ years has been used A330 airframes. Apparently they’ve even done livery mock-ups in Photoshop. Never came to fruition because we wouldn’t buy them without some sort of CPA, and nobody would do a CPA unless we bought them.

IPO will be cancelled because 48 planes are owned by UAL
And their Union is trying to get them in-house along with an order for up to another 100
New 195s
Tell Andy to wake up and ask for “pilots go with airplanes” even though you don’t own them. United will need pilots and with a 3 year equipment lock will be a good deal for the Mesa pilot. You will be at United

UAL can’t purchase control of Mesa because of the anti-takeover laws in the state where it is incorporated, Nevada. So, there is zero chance of a pilots go with planes. UAL has also made the move to replace CRJ700’s with E175SC’s without the United pilot union permission.
By Thursday evening, Mesa will be a publicly traded company.
What an idiot.

IPO won’t be cancelled unless the UAL insourcing happens this week. The fact that 48 Ejets are owned by UAL was already known by the underwriters and is clearly stated in the prospectus.

SKW can’t takeover Mesa either. Same reason. The IPO filings have taught anyone with the skill to read lots about Mesa.

And, if United takes the 175’s back in-house, it will mean purchasing (or assuming the purchase of) a whole bunch of 175’s from Republic, SkyWest, including the 18 from Mesa, or buying new ones. The United pilot union is simply asking that the CPA’s are cancelled as they come up for renewal. Also, for the United pilot union proposal of outfitting the 175’s with more seats means paying Embraer a bunch of money to have the Ejets recertified.
What I know is you know very little about anything.
