There are ExpressJet pilots hired here every month, especially in IAH. I don’t blame anyone for going to one of American’s wholly owned or to Endeavor from ExpressJet, or really any other regional. ExpressJet is pathetic.
Do you know how many ExpressJet pilots you lose every month?

Actually I do! And I know we don't lose many a month to Mesa. Most are wise enough to stay away!

A lot of ASA guys were just hired by us at Kalitta. ALPA preferential hiring.

Hahaha. You are joking, right? In the prospectus, Mesa prided itself on their low wages and long contracts compared to the industry.
Funny thing, I believe many of the Mesa pilots I fly with outearn pretty much all other regionals. My FO buddies at SkyWest are making $40k and have to wait 2+ years to upgrade.

You copied his selling points over the last 20 years since he showed up to Mesa and ousted Larry R
And you are pretending to be a new First Officer Jonathan ?

I am plenty willing to say what is wrong with Mesa too: poor health insurance, quality of life as far as being able to drop trips off a schedule, reputation, training schedule on the Ejet. JO would never talk about those things, period.
But, pay isn’t one of those things. We have captains that already in triple digits for the year and credit 240 hours in a month. Also, upgrade timeframes isn’t one of those things. And, when you look at IAH, I still struggle to see a better regional that has a base there all things put together.
But, even in IAH, it isn’t a good fit for everyone.

Lol. I wouldn’t say what wasn’t true.

And, really that isn’t necessarily the only way it works here to get 300%. Otherwise, a pilot couldn’t get to 240 credit hours.
So, it does count. Some also get an entire month off with pay due to 117. Try that at SkyWest or ExpressJet or Republic.
