Mesa guys bringing home the fattest paychecks of all regionals with the 300%. Know the facts.

It’s not 1995 anymore. The 737 type is worth nada.

This in turn will benefit Mainline carriers by allowing them to hire experienced 737 pilots, reducing training costs for repeat lessons or wash outs. With more hours the more experience these pilots will have making them safer pilots before going to fly passengers. I would like to see more carriers doing this. Safe to say with the upcoming pilot shortage Mesa is keeping the whole industry in mind by being proactive rather than reactive.
I hope you are not really a Mesa pilot. If you are on our seniority list you are an absolute embarrassment to this pilot group.

That’s with 300%. What would your pay be without it.....

While the 300% is good, it is a temporary solution to a long term problem. it destroys QOL by forcing you to work on off days to make what other regional pilots make on reserve guarantee flying 50 seaters

They’re trolling. Some have fallen for it but it was pretty obvious from the first post.

This would also be a good time to remind all that the 300% pay currently expires on July 31. Please wait for an email extending it into August before picking up open time. I’ve noticed DFW FO open time is drastically lower than previous months

Not much in CA open time either.

Type ratings are worthless without time on type. I think it is a wise choice by JO, but this puts heat on Mesa pilots to fight for industry standard pay for this type of flying on the 737. If you look at Southern, Swift, and a few others, probably close to it already. However you also need to fight for the same benefits like home basing, which also means having hotels paid for while at the hub.
737 is just another airplane, but not having to deal with TSA, FA's, and only dealing with cargo hub security brings a new level of QOL in itself.

Not sure if I agree with that. The type speaks much louder than time in the plane on any resume. The type ride and training is more stressful than any day flying on the line. I’ve heard from multiple recruiters that a fresh type appeals more than sitting idle in a seat with a bunch of hours.
