Southern may or may not go away this year. If the arbitrator rules in both Atlas's and Southern's favor and hands us a new contract made up of Atlas's and Southern's current contracts then yes Southern will be gone by the end of the year. If either case goes in the union's favor then the real negotiations start and that will take awhile.

And there is no training contract at Atlas or Southern. Pilots are quitting during OE.

High washout rate after our incident. FAA is in the building like crazy. No more “you will learn it online”

For low wages and a (likely) 5-year training agreement you too can get a 737-type. Just think, doing your backside of the clock flying and getting to that glamorous LaQuinta van at 5am. So very believable
I thought your post was half joking.... then you mentioned the LaQuinta van intel....

Truth be told.... for people coming form 135 feeder freight, it’s probably easier to not have to learn things like FMS, and glass. Might have a fighting chance in a jet filed as /A with round dials.

737-400's have VNAV, don't need glass for full featured VNAV. I used to jumpseat on Airways before they retired their 400's, watched it work very well.

We don’t have a second FMS in most of our CRJs...If VNAV capability costs $$$, forget about it. Also talking to friends who are at UPS and FDX, they don’t have cancellations like in the 121 world. Especially for MX. Gonna be interesting. The next Go! coming up? 😳😳🤣🤣

This rumor is persistent. I’ve heard it again from a more reputable source.

Hahahah, you remember the last time they had all the operators they needed and had a well structured system in Ohio, yes?

It makes a certain sort of evil, smokey-room, steepled-fingers sense. Why go to the bottom of the list at Southern when you're already years in to a "career" at Mesa and now you can fly a Boeing!!!!????

I haven’t heard it from one person in IAD but we are all consumed with the fate of the 700s

Despite what happens to the 700's, I think no one is going to be without employment.
