Well I'm glad I just renewed my flight instructor ratings but I still don't see anywhere where it states an ADDITIONAL 250 furloughs.

I think the "...We plan to.." part indicates more are to come.

Well I realize more are coming, however it's not very clear if that 250 number includes the 80 or so that are currently furloughed or the 60 or so more we are furloughing this month.

I understand what you're saying but there comes a point where the headache outweighs the price (i.e. JO and DG). Money talks 99% of the time.

Clarification from the COO: The 250 will be the total number off of the seniority list as it is published today. The list is currently at 1401... so about 1150 will be as deep as it goes.... or so they say.

Thanks for that, I was wondering. Is that a reliable source? I'm surprised ALPA hasn't put out an email yet about this. 250 Furloughs and looks like 195 captain downgrades or so. I don't see how they could cover the flying, unless there's something they haven't told us. I think they could do 100 furloughs max if they fattened up the lines and junior assigned. But 250 doesn't seem realistic. The 2 previous furlough announcements didn't hold any water, so who knows about this one. The company sure doesn't have a clue.

HA! I'm not surprised that spineless joke of an MEC hasn't sent out an email about it...

You're right. The union sends us all these emails acting like they are fighting with the company, when actually they are in bed with them. I just figured they would have sent some B/S email by now that's all. This new contract is evidence they are in bed with them, and sold it to the pilot group as if it was some great deal. I never bought into it.

The worthless POS ALPA and MEC can kiss my a**... all they give a crap about is taking our money... I never thought I'd say this, but I'm really, really close to just telling this profession to F off... If I knew when I started flight school in 2001 what I know now, I'd have never gotten myself into this... screw Mesa and all the other groups who could give a crap about this industry and their pilots.. we're the ones who really sacrifice and get walked on. And to the guy who liked Jorn Bates, you're right, he's the ONLY person at Mesa I've seen give a crap and they just terminated him... My best wishes to him and good luck to all my fellow brother and sister pilots... as soon as I get my furlough notice, I'm outta here..
