...which is fine IMHO, seeing as I was at Pinnacle when NWA Airlink became Delta Connection--QOL, morale, schedules, systems--EVERYTHING Delta does to its regional affiliates is worse--worse than anything I've ever seen in the United or Airways systems

Hell if I know. Didn't think we could staff what we're getting now but we are. A lot of x-jet, Republic and other regional FO's coming over. Some with over 4 years seniority.

Jumping ship
A lateral is risky, no guarantee you'd get CLT with PSA by the time you went through training etc. PSA may be a very different company in a few years with possible merger of wholly owned regionals. Basing is a rough thing to count on at regionals. If I were in training with Mesa, I'd bail for PSA no question. It's a much better company in many ways. If you're strictly a get in get out type Mesa May work but I've witnessed few execute on the quick escape. Commuting is a soul sucking proposition that seems unavoidable in this industry.

I really don't give a ****. And I'm not salivating. I'm pretty senior on the E-Jet left seat now. Just saying we're in negotiations right now for additional flying.

Could Mesa handle additional crj and ejet orders from aa?

I think we could handle two dozen more planes in the near future without much trouble, after that recruiting might have to step up its game. In that GAO study in February, they stated that "11 of the 12 regional airlines we interviewed reported difficulties filling entry- level first-officer vacancies." I've been told Mesa was the 1 out of 12 that could.
As for that, I've heard vague reference to this, but can someone fill me in on the bad blood?
I would a go a step further and say that Delta really, really, really doesn't like Mesa.

I have mixed emotions. The CRJ gets a much better fuel burn so you can fly it at .77 and faster without guzzling the fuel. The E-Jet fuel burn is high above .75. The E-Jet is very comfortable though. Nice window shades, auto throttles and such. Truthfully I feel like I'm in a mainline aircraft in the E-Jet. But I'm not I know so don't chime in. The E-Jet is like a Rolls Royce and the CRJ is like a Corvette. It's the best way I can describe it in short.
