We know there have been a number of rumors out there about where Mesa will be flying for American Airlines as they consolidate their operations with U.S. Airways. What we can confirm is we are in discussions with American to relocate our Charlotte operations to DFW over the next 12 months and to set up a small operation in LAX (8-10 aircraft) by October.
American is pleased with our performance and their decision to move our Charlotte operations to Dallas is to focus our flying in the Western U.S. (DFW, PHX and LAX.) This is a positive move for our company and for our partnership with American (to serve their largest hub and headquarters city) but we know it will mean change for many of our people.

So CLT is downsizing, DFW is opening and LAX is opening. That's what I got out of COO Foley's email.
There's going to be some p*ssed off CC Air guys and others who live in CLT.

More big news to come, even bigger than the CLT base closing and opening DFW. I can't say but it includes DFW as well. Still in negotiations. So it's not final yet.
