Some guys in our new-hire class were past 50, many in their 40's. 33 is relatively young, and if predictions hold out you could be at a major for almost three decades. Some disagree with that assessment, but do your own homework and see what you come up with. Why even build 1500 just to give up now?

SJS keeps people from realizing what carriers actually have substandard contracts. It's really a shame. Guys, DO YOUR RESEARCH!!!

What's reserve like if you live in base, and don't commute? Is it all home reserve? And what's the callout?
#2675
-90 minute show for regular reserve
-ready reserve you have 15 minutes to return call, and "you're supposed to be at the airport"

Boy these Skywest guys are trollin hard on the mesa page.
Who would a thought they'd be scouring the regional pages spreading the good word outta Utah. Skywest is a regional chock full with 50 seat jets, brasilias, ASA/Expressjet, lengthy upgrades, regional lifers and beleibers. Skywest guys used to never even bother on this forum but now these guys are everywhere trollin hard. What gives?

Reserve has 3 shifts. RS1=4am to 4pm, RS3=Noon to midnight, and RS4 7pm to 7am. RS4 goes junior and only awarded to one maybe two guys a month, so forget it until you are really senior.
As for RS1 and RS3, be prepared to sit Ready Reserve every day at the airport for 8 hours if you are not flying. It gets pretty old very quick.

where do you live? Upgrade at PSA will drop below 2 years in a couple months hiring 50+ a month, and a better contract than Mesa
