Mesa

CLT is just a larger base. A lot of flights and when weather or mechanicals hit it can throw a wrench in the spokes. Plus Mesa doesn't want you at home enjoying yourself at the pool while on call.
So they tend to keep a heavy RR rotation going. They want people to be utilized as much as possible. But sometimes it bites them in the butt because your FDP starts once your at the airport.

Several people who've been here over the long haul have told me things are much better at Mesa now than they were prior to 2010 or so, so the ex-Mesa types now at SKYW may not have valid info any longer.

Yeah, my hat's off to the guys with families and other important financial obligations, but if you're single and live frugally it's not impossible. It's actually a step up from the poverty-level BS that was flight instructing.

I've worked here and Pinnacle--Mesa treats us better at the moment
Prior121 has worked here and Republic--he seems to feel pretty strongly that Mesa treats us better at the moment.
I don't see any new hires hitting the line here who weren't fully aware of our contract, working conditions, and payscale when they signed up.
You act like a child who didn't get what they wanted. I'm sorry we have shiny new toys to upgrade onto at Mesa--if it makes you feel any better a lot of the people going through upgrade here have been through their fair share of hardship in this industry--whether that was going through bankruptcy at Mesa, or in the case of myself and other former Pinnacle/Colgan people, having fought for years for a new contract, only to have it shoved down our throats by a bankruptcy court (with downgrades, base closures, and furlough notices ensuing soon thereafter).
I'm starting to realize that the only people bashing Mesa are: 1) People who washed out at Mesa or 2) People who have only worked for one regional in their lifetime, who are mad because Mesa is doing well and their similarly-crappy regional is not

Once you have a line it's really not that bad.
