At the risk of exposing my ignorance on the issue, doesn't ObamaCare require certain sized companies to fund a specific percentage of employees healthcare premiums?

I don't have much knowledge on the subject either but I believe if a company employ's more than 30 people then they must offer some sort of health care plan. However, I don't think it says anywhere that it has to be good. But in all honestly if you have more than just yourself to support then the regional airlines are not a good place to do that.

I refused to stay at the Sleep Inn and I was put up at the Best Westen Plus for AQP this year.

Nice Best Western right by the Mall.

Just FYI.

How did you pull that off? I need to remember this for next year. I have heard horror stories about that Sleep Inn.

I told them I would not stay at the sleep inn.

However I wouldn't pull stuff like that while still on probation.

Best Western is the primary pilot hotel. You will see about 60 other pilots there. Sleep Inn is preferred by most pilots for AQP because transportation is more flexible. But hey, be sure to lay down the law.

The BestWestern where a new hire had his car stolen on his very first day, and another was mugged and had his phone stolen? Sorry, I'll take the sleep inn, with its tater tots and gravy for breakfast.

Are you making a joke here?

This mindset is the reason why regionals get away with blatantly violating CBAs!

You laughing at me standing up to the company exemplifies why as a pilot group there is no unity and leverage.
