Any new upgrades out there that didn't have tons of 121/CRJ experience? How was training?

So, I've got a personal thing going on a day I'm on reserve, but wasn't too worried because someone with lower seniority and one more available day is also working. We're both CML. They gave me a trip (that matches my exact amount of days on) but didn't schedule him for anything.

Our contract says they're supposed to go down the CMF then CML last in order of seniority. But then mentions:
5. Exceptions to CMF and CML callouts:
a. CMF or CML reserves may be assigned in an order of assignment designed to match the length of the assignment with the reserve pilot’s availability.
Should I email them or will it not help?

I am the July 13 new hire in upgrade right now. Everything's going great, finishing up cpt, heading on out to CPH shortly. No complaints from me. Mesa was my first 121 gig and 18 months later I am here.

What's the average days off in a row a reservist is getting? 3-4? Would it be possible to get 4-5 consecutive days off in a row?

2-3 typically. Maybe 4 once a month. But you can massage it in FLICA subject to the amount of open time and other reserves. For example, to visit my parents later this month I swapped a few days around so I only had 1 or 2 days off between trips, but have a good block of 6 days off for them.

Thanks. Also how are the benefits on the United side? Non reving? Do you just pay a yearly few for non reving, and taxes for international travel?
I'm getting wayyyyyy ahead of myself when I say this (I know I need to get through IOE first), but id like to visit my GF who's teaching Spanish in South America, once I'm done with everything and settle down.

Yeah, nothing wrong with asking. We'll hopefully be hearing about 2015 flight benefits in the next week or so; many of us are wondering how the US/AA merger will affect them.

In the past I think it's been $75 for United annually, $75 for US annually. $150 to do both. It gets a little more involved for girlfriends, spouses, and family. And like you said, just the taxes internationally.
