I'm curious as to what "coattail riding" any regional would possibly want to do off of the Mesa contract?

If PHX is still attainable 10-12 months from now then Mesa will be my first choice, but only because I live in PHX and would like to stay here if I can help it. Not having to commute is my goal.
That's will be my reason for Mesa.

Just curious. Why do Mesa pilots keep saying they have cancelation pay? Do they ever want actual cancelation pay in their contract? I mean does the MEC sell line guarantee as cancelation pay?

Because it is a form of cancellation pay. Is it the greatest? Nope. But it is better than nothing.

HA I have gone home twice between class, FPT, and sims. CASS has nothing to do with it. They couldn't jump seat anyway because they don't have they're crew badge. It's called non reving which we had the option to sign up for on day one of class. We were all in the US Airways system 2 weeks later.

It's a Mesa forum, get over yourself. I am so sorry if I don't have perfect grammar while typing on an iPhone in the back of a hotel van. But it's alright keep trying. I hope I am as BA as you someday correcting grammar on a regional airline forum...

I thought mesa had line guarantee and not actual leg-by-leg cancellation pay.

There are people who are currently in the new hire class right now who got awarded PHX right out of training. I'd say you'd be in luck if you want to live in base.

Please explain, in detail, the difference.
If I am awarded an 88hr line and I fly 68 block hours due to 20 hours of cancellation, I am paid 88hrs.
