Phoenix hasn't been awarded to an fo for like 18 months. It's easily the most senior base, and it's shrinking. This of course may change with the AA/USA merger, however i speculate that Phoenix flying will be shifted to the 50 seat carriers. That's even more likely to happen if we acquire another carrier that runs 50 seaters / turboprops.

"another carrier" or a combination of carriers with 50 seaters/turboprops?

for the life of me I cant imagine Mesa acquiring anything with the words fifty seats attached. Would be very dangerous, no?

It's for the pilots/routes. They would operate separately until airplanes timing out dictated people migrating to the certificate.

I was told by 2 separate reliable sources that its a distinct possibility. Swing as how most of these companies have dash 8s, 1900s, and crj 200s near timeout, I deduced the rest. It makes sense to do it that way; especially since you don't have to retrain the whole b list all at once, which saves money and confusion.

I was offered a class date and did not receive one of those emails. Since I also have an xjt class, sounds like Mesa would be the better way to go.
