This is a hilarious thread. They don't even have their check airmen picked out yet. If your friend waits a year then he can probably be 'guaranteed' an E175 class. Better yet, tell him to do everyone a favor and go into another profession. It's going to be captain on captain flying for quite a while to get the initial cadre above 100hrs. Nobody needs green on green in ORD.

Do you think they clip all the taxi lights with those under the wing engines ? That probably require some taxi planing right there

Probably!!!...I really don't know anything about the 175s

The -400 feels like you're landing a six story building

Off topic, but seriously...what was your largest jet before this shiny whale?
I would spend a few months just to learn the fuel system on this thing!

The largest plane I flew before the whale was the CRJ-900 at Mesa. I was hired into the Classic (-200) at Kalitta and we had to do a PIC type. We had to know every switch on the FE panel along with all the stuff up front .. It wasn't that bad really, it just took LOTS of studying. Then I had to do it all over again 14 months later when I got displaced to the -400. The whale is really pretty easy to land. Occasionally you will thunder one on

Why do I get the feeling this guy is going to be picked up by American or Delta at age 25 and be a 777 captain at 45?
