I'm pretty sure those pilots get boners while taxiing their heavy past other regionals.
Just like PSA pilots. They really buried the bar!

You don't have 'hard' landings, you 'thunder one on'. Nice.

Does Mesa even have the 175 on their operating Cert. yet? I highly doubt Mesa will have Ejets on property in 6-7 months as someone stated. They have to get manuals/training programs approved first, train checkairman and a whole bunch of other stuff done before they can start sending line pilots to training.

Can someone from Mesa confirm if any of this legwork has been done yet?

The men and women involved in this have been working their tails off for months on this. Proving runs begin in march, first revenue in June. Initial cadre of check airman selected. Training to occur initially at embraer facility in STL. 2 planes by July then 2 a month every month after. Or it might be 3 by august and 2 every month after that. can't remember what the email said exactly.

Manuals are not done. They were supposed to be submitted to the FAA the beginning of this month but as of now, there's nobody to read and approve them at the FAA. They're still trying to figure who the initial cadre will be. Applications are being examined as we speak.

Stop trying to derail this thread. Stay on topic...which is the 747 "whale" and it's landing capabilities.

My understanding is that the initial cadre has been hand picked already. The applications for future check airman as fleet grows are under review.

They've got a small handful of verbal confirmations but nothing set in stone till the terms are solidified. It's going to be hard convincing CLT check airmen to take a paycut and Phx guys to commute to ORD or iah.
