There are many ways to look at this:
Lets say you work for airline A that has 10 planes and 100 pilots. You were the last pilot hired. Your company gets 3 more aircrafts, so add 30 new FOs who would move behind you. 130 pilots, 65Ca/65Fo, and you would still hold the same seniority number, but would be near the 50% mark on the FO side, being able to hold a stable line.
Guess what will happen if the company gets 7 more aircrafts? There would now be 200 pilots where you still hold seniority #100, but would be on the brink of upgrade.
No need to move up the list, as long as the company keeps expanding.

If you really look at all my posts on all threads, you will see that I strongly believe that now is the time to start trying to revive our profession. It is nothing personal against you or Mesa. This industry/career/profession has been going backwards for far too long, and I'd really like to see a change in direction towards overdue improvements! This will not happen if JO keeps filling his new hire classes, since your lack of improvement in pay and benefits shows he is in no hurry to give an inch. If you and others would stop trying to convince others of how great Mesa is, you'd be helping your group to ad pressure on JO to actually give you guys a better contract, period end of the story.
I really believe that if, and I know it's a big if, Eagle along with Republic pilots vote NO, then maybe the turnaround has a chance...
