Fact #1: Envoy provides hotels for commuters. No need for a crash pad.
Fact #2: I have spoken with many people I know at Envoy...on RSV those who want to fly do. Those who want to sit at home on a RAP do so as well.
Fact #3: Envoy is flowing over 300 Captains to AA this year alone. Again in 2017 and beyond. I know at Mesa stuff like that is impossible to grasp...but it's called MOVEMENT. Upwards movement.
You need to put down that Mesa blunt you keep smoking and get out as soon as you can. Other airlines do it better...You will be doing yourself a favor getting the hell away from that place. Why are you so loyal to such a crappy airline? You think JO gives two-you know whats- about you or your family?
Oh, and one more fact that will blow your mind: I've just been hired by American Airlines. No interview for me anymore. When my flow number comes up I just go. Simple as that. And I did some very basic math on it: At the current flow rate and looking at how many people are above me on the seniority list, it will take me about 5 years to flow to AA. 5 years. That is NOTHING. And that's also taking into consideration that after the October 2011 guys flow, all 3 wholly owned airlines will flow in equal amounts. In 5 years everyone I know at Mesa will be stabbing each other in the back at job fairs just to get hired by some LCC. Good luck with that. Haters gonna hate...

As for your butterflies and unicorn attitude about Envoy, I am from DFW and have about 8 friends there at the moment. Its not as great as you think. I will grant you, the pay and bennies are much better, and if that is what you are after, good on you. Others may be after other angles, such as the quick upgrade or simply living in base and not sitting reserve. Dont worry so much about ragging on the operation trying to scare people off when it may work well for them.
As for your flow predictions, if things pan out like you hope, good deal. I don't anticipate they will. I'm sure Envoy guys will chime in here to either support or discredit my statement but I interviewed at Envoy (Formally Eagle) in 2011. Was offered the job and was told during the interview that while upgrade times were between 7-9 years, but they anticipated it to drop to 5 years and even maybe as low as 2-3 years. Well we all know that didn't happen. The recruiters have a job to do.. sell you. And it sounds like you were closed. The average guy I know is about 5-6 years seniority at Envoy. They still are about 1 to 2 years away from upgrade. I do however anticipate that to drop.

Congratulations Mr. Lemonade. Some of us have optimistic future views for others. People being haters.......really. By the way, reserve is now 9-10 months in Dfw and rising. Who said 5-7 months?

I didn't really pay attention. They finally got them? Be glad you have never had to do manual revisions. I know I'm regretting my decision everyday. I could still be on reserve and have my promised flow. All I have now is 4 bars and a awesome schedule. But seriously let us know how it is in 6 months. You "might" change your tune. Good luck I hope it works out.
Good Luck!!

Not sure you can say $25.84 for 72 hours is that much better than $22.18 for 76 hours. I mean, before taxes, that's about $2100 a year. Better than a sharp stick in the eye, but "much" better? Meh.

If you think Delta cares what regional you worked at, you're delusional. It's all about who you know and how much time you have.
