Only if United or AA comes out in a joint statement with Mesa management with a promise of new airplanes and/or flow, conditional upon us passing this TA. Then it would pass (and I would vote yes).
Otherwise...sorry, no. I'm estimating the maximum "yes" vote will be single digit percentages.

If I wanted to be like psa pilots I would have gone to PSA. New planes so I can vote in this garbage? No thanks.

The LCR language is too vague I can smell the grievances already. Also not sure how I feel about the whole "time balancing" since it renders CMF/CML status irrelevant since everyone on RSV will now be used equally whether they want to be or not. How is this a gain? It's a gain for the company.

So, let's say for example a junior reserve PHX captain bids FO so they don't get displaced to DFW, they still get paid captain pay as long as they're flying as captain.
That's my take anyways.

Well you have to remember that there are more FO's than there are lifer captains. More A/C does mean more upgrade opportunities and more $$$. And like FB said it would pass in a heart beat ha.

I think it means if a captain puts in his/her bid for an FO slot, but they're still flying as captain, they'll be paid as captain.

I love how after coming back from a flight, the contract states they could reassign you to ready reserve. Per the FAR and the latest interpretations they cannot assign you RR. Only more flying, or regular reserve. Errors already. Unless something has been redefined recently.
I don't like this reserve system balancing either. I don't see how that benefits anyone. If you are junior you need hours to consolidate anyway. As you get senior, you get better trips ahead of time if you are CMF and that helps with commuting. If you are home based you can bid CML and sit at home. So reserve balancing would be worse for everyone I think. I don't see how it would benefit Mesa either.

I think it more refers to a case where there is a PIC-qualified FO. If he gets assigned a CA trip then he would get paid at the CA rate instead of the FO rate. This situation may happen right after a displacement where a CA is downgraded to FO but is still qualified per the FAA to be PIC.

Agreed. Even the new FO's are now starting to realize they might actually have to live with these FO rates for awhile so this contract is garbage in that respect.

This is dangerous to have this! That means less Captain slots. This means Mesa can run razor thin as Captains knowing they have a few PIC qualified FO's instead of paying them full time as a Captain. All they need is a line check every two years to stay qualified. Easy to do on Mesa's part. This probably is protection for the future incase we start parking planes and Mesa needs to downgrade again. Lets not play with fire on this clause.
