There have been reports of a few days off before sim and a week or two off before IOE due to backlog, but breaks like that are continually changing so I wouldn't bank on them. Around 3 months is a pretty good estimate.

165 FO's in DFW alone and about 70ish of them are on reserve... So you do the math hey at least I have some people below me. But you can get DFW pretty much before you get to IOE BUT I don't think you will be flying as much as you would say in IAD just my two cents
For the summer it's looking like that won't be the case.

Question, is the company spreading out the flying, so more people are line holders? So many trips, in the middle, could easily fly another out and back. Lots of 3 day trips worth 10 hours...
I haven't seen more than 11 days off since I was an FO in CLT.

Short answer no. Low credit trips do not make more lines. AA pairings have everything to do with the amount of crew staging that we have to do.

UA parks a good chunk of our aircraft back in base at night.
AA parks basically every aircraft in an outstation at night.

DFW saw a 500 bump in flying from May to June.
IAD saw about 100 hours.
IAH saw about 650.
PHX 450.

So AA gained about 1000 hours and UA about 700. All pretty standard for summers.

Interesting info, thanks. With it being Friday, any chance of lines today? Or more likely Sunday/Monday?

Oh, and wanted to ask about the PBS Ballpark page too, are they just not doing it anymore?

It's not going to be today. Average date where we finish up is late on the 20th early on the 21st. We may end up bleeding into Sunday this month with DFW.

I lost control of the Ballpark page when they switched over to that new site. And then we all lost access to it. They're in the process of getting a new Webmaster and a new site and I hope to regain the ability to put up a ballpark page.

Alright, first off I'm going to admit this is probably the wrong month to be putting this information up with the summer increase and all. But I keep seeing questions over and over about bases and lines etc and figure since no ones really put it together this way to share.

Junior Line Holding Captain for June: (again keep in mind the increase in block).
DFW: 8/14
IAD: 6/14
IAH: 5/14
PHX: 7/01

I'll do FO when we have them. I will say its looking life for this month if your DFW and wanted a line your gonna get one.

Are we getting more flying than normal this summer since they asked if anyone wanted to give up their vacation?
