I'm trying to find something but I have absolutely nothing to currently complain about. Except maybe that BDL hotel....

I don't know who your "buddie" is lol, but as 50% bidder on the 175 side as a CA (Spring 13 hire) I hold 14-16 days off 80-84hrs of credit each month and it honors my day off prefs. Also - all my trips start with 1 late leg to an outstation on day 1...so you can barely consider them 4 days... more like 3 1/2 day 20-22 hour trips.

NavTech's version is pilot centric. It's goal is to give as many pilots as possible a bid that they want. That's not how global solution packages work.
PBS works exceptionally well for those WHO BOTHER TO LEARN HOW TO USE IT. I can tell you from experience the number of new pilots who KNOW how to use the software properly at Mesa is exceptionally low.

Alright, plain and simple here. If you are using CLEAR SCHEDULE START NEXT in your bid S T O P. There's a 90%+ chance you are using it incorrectly. I've dealt with no less then 9 pilots at the moment who are on reserve because they used CSSN incorrectly.
I've put out numerous hotline pieces over the years about how to correctly use CSSN and ESN. PLEASE GO READ THEM. Or at the very minimum email us and ask for a bid review. We can't help you if you don't bother to ask. But at the same time, it's inherent for your livelihood that you learn how the software works by reading the training material.

Really? You're such the expert what do you use? Are you going to claim SkyWest's global solution is better? How about United's point based system.

If it goes all the way to the bottom of a thorough bid, has a reasons list of violating min rest, min days off, and still has half the schedule ending up as coverage awards, then it's obvious that 1. staffing is at a critical low for the amount of flying, and 2. The flying given to us is such table scraps that it's next to impossible to even build an efficient schedule.

Not complaining, just asking: has Mesa taken any steps with American to improve what we get, either by seeking different pairings or asking to massage the pairings we do get?
