With AA the longer the trip the more efficient due to the high number of overnights that must be covered.

So without some additional form of flying or some massive shift PHX will continue to see very small trickle in numbers sporadically.
That's what I figured, but it's also the reason I was surprised the cancelled Standing Bid had 8 PHX CA vacancies and the last one had 4. Did some Captains just happen to move on all at once, or was there more to it?

They seem to have materialized and multiplied in the last 2ish months. 9-10 hour 3-days and 3+ hour sits seem to be the new norm unfortunately.

That's horrendous. We do 2 leg 3-days at OO with 30 hour overnights. 12:36 credit for 2 hours of block.

Glad I'm not the only one that sees this. Sorry but if you think work rules don't affect the productivity of trips, then I don't know what else to tell you.
If you put the current trips under say a delta contract, you'd make liveable wages.

They're not new. I've got 6 years worth of past pairings that say otherwise. The Apr & May 10 hour 3-days were a direct result of pushing the 4 days up to the 18-19 hour min range.

It's either 18-19 hour 4 days and 10 hour 3 days. or 17 hour 4 days and 12 hour 3 days.

Trip efficiency is one of the biggest differences I've noticed since leaving Mesa for SkyWest, where 4-days credit an average 21:20. One of my IOE trips here at the new place was a 21-hour 3 day; those aren't super-common here (and go super-senior), but they're virtually unheard of at Mesa.

SKywest has 4x the aircraft we do. It's also very system dependent. Our United stuff is much much better.

IAD & IAH both average 20+ hour 4 days.

And I think Blackwing will discover after he completes his IOE the trips won't be as efficient. I know that the trips that are blocked for IOE tend to be more efficient.
