Sim time is at a premium now. Starting to back up. No point in hiring flat out when you can't get them trained.

4 days of Indoc/Fundamentals of Command
3 weeks of systems
Oral
6 days of ground FPT
2 days of sim FPT
8 Sim Lessons
Checkride
LOFT
There have been reports of a few days off before sim and a week or two off before IOE due to backlog, but breaks like that are continually changing so I wouldn't bank on them. Around 3 months is a pretty good estimate.

Regarding a new hire footprint:
I will say for the February class lots of CRJ people haven't even started sim! Because of losing our sim time to Endeavor in MSP and people in earlier classes taking extra sim sessions. Lots of my friends aren't starting sim until next month and they started in Feb/March
I know one guy who is done waiting on IOE from Feb. and he is home now almost 3 weeks waiting on a crew badge and uniform still... try more like 4-5 months is a better estimate in my two cents based on what I'm hearing from my friends in training

This is just what I heard from one of the recruiters...they are dialing it back a bit for the summer and it will start ramping up again in the fall. Traditionally, airlines have slowed hiring in the summer as its the busiest part of the year in regards to flying the schedule.
