Thinking of joining Mesa, what is your monthly take home pay with per diem and how many hours per month are pilots actually crediting?
Thanks
I know how to multiply rate time guarantee but what is the actual hours per month people are doing?

I'm bringing in about 1450-1475 a month without insurance on reserve. The pay is so low that the company even "advises" to take obamacare (state health insurance) which they give a handout in their benefits package during training. I will say I know A few MAG pilots on state health insurance and food stamps. Good luck!

No joke!!
Math is this 75.83 hours x 22.18 per hour (1st year pay) it's sad man and I don't count per diem since it's not that much and it's low I think of my per diem as a "bonus"
In training the higher pay is to get you in the door to come down. You can bank on 1,850 a month in training after taxes BUT that's causing issues with the union and line pilots because of the contract and what management is doing... Not going into that whole thing I'm sure that dead horse is on this forum somewhere

That is the 1,850 take home pay in training
It includes the 250 a week. Plus a onetime iPad payment which is around 430-475 after taxes (depending on your state)
Hence why training pay is 1,850 and reserve pay is much lower you lose the 250 a week once you hit the line

so,
in training $22x76hours is $1672
plus $1000 in per diem a month
plus the $500 i pad allowance
this comes to $3172 before taxes for the month. How does it get to $1850?
And without the i pad its $2672. Thats a lot of taxes to get to $1850
