New Mesa Thread

Bashing? Nope. Only airline that deserves that is Mesa, but go ahead and find a quote of me bashing anyone else. People deserve to know the truth about Mesa, especially coming from someone who worked there for years and got out. The number of PMs I receive of people who agree is tremendous. The number of pilots from other Regionals and Mainline I speak to in the real world who agree about Mesa is astronomical. It only upsets me that I didn't leave Mesa sooner...but you know. I fell for the quick upgrade trap...thinking I would get swooped up by mainline within a year.
The more people I prevent from making the same mistake the happier I will be. I'm like that reformed crack addict who went away to prison for 10 years and now helps troubled youth. I've been there and done that and know what it's like. If anything, working at Mesa is just like being on crack and/or spending time in Prison.

Nothing needs to be validated...but if you were wise you would listen to those of us who are already airline pilots, have worked for more than one airline and can maybe provide some perspective which you don't have yet. Snarky comments won't do you any good.

What a dumpster fire.
Once again, thank god I am on the UAX 175 side. Nothing but rainbows and unicorns over here.

You do realize that the quotes you used pale in comparison to how bad you make yourself and Envoy look to the entire industry that reads this forum? I notice the looks that Envoy people give out, and I really have to say, it's mainly Envoy. I've never noticed a nastier, more spiteful pilot group than the few bad apples you guys have. I personally could care less if you were furloughed tomorrow, lost your career, and we took all of your e-jets. I have empathy for everyone else, but not you guys. Was it not telling enough that when we first came to DFW, that Envoy was actively sabotaging our operation? That your ramp tower managers had to be fired, especially when one of them tried to start a fist fight with our chief pilot? That we cought your rampers purposely breaking our floor boards in the rear cargo bins, and had to fire all of the ones pulling that crap? You seem to forget that US Airways took over AA. That Mesa has a long history working with Airways, and it really should be the other way around that you guys are lucky to even still be around. Speaking of commuting, Envoy has been failing me with cancellations, I have more trust in my own airline.

A BIG amen to all that brother. I'd like to add that I have a very good friend who started with Envoy about 6 months ago in the CRJ. He freaking HATES it there. He said he's lucky to get 40 or so hours a month of flying on reserve AND can expect to be on reserve at least a year. The only good part about flying so little is that it limits the amount of time he has to spend around arrogant a$$#oles ... his words, not mine. He's seriously considering coming over to Mesa to get out of the ORD hellhole and back to DFW, get more flying, better trips (incl. Mex), much better upgrade prospects, and with a more amiable peer set. He's young and the regional game's just a stepping-stone so he looks at the pay cut to be well worth regaining his enjoyment of flying. I certainly can't argue with him. And, to me here's the proof about Envoy. You have a solid guy who hates the place after only 6 months.
My friend who's been there for over four years just recently became a line holder, he is based in ORD. I don't know where they are getting the one year on reserve from, unless it is the e-jet perhaps.
Four years on reserve as a commuter, don't know how he could stand it. My friend also stated that everyone at Envoy hates Mesa's guts... If you ask me, Envoy hates everyone else that isn't Envoy.
