I don't need the benefits but making 60k as a captain isn't appealing either. I don't want commute. Xjet higher pay, but no upgrade in sight and Mesa low pay but will make more with faster upgrade. Just seems like both are crap. Like one bid sh$t sandwich that I have to bite.

Only problem is you missed the upgrade fast track. Realistically if you were hired today it's more like 3-5 years on the EJET.

There are many well founded comments here addressing the big issues; low pay at all levels, no company subsidized benefits, etc, etc but there several small ones as well that just grate on you over time. Two that come to mind; JO will not pay for your much needed Known Crew Member (KCM) membership and deducts $1.25? per paycheck. He won't even pay a buck and quarter for something all other airlines pay for. Another petty but very annoying rule, pilots and crew are not allowed to take a bottle of water off the plane! A bottle of water!!!!

JO is beyond cheap, he's evil to the effect of bringing out the very worst in the companies employees. I can't stand the place and moving on.

Which could be slower than Republic's upgrade. Add the possibility that Republic opens an IAH base after exiting chapter 11 like rumors are saying and you'll have an airline that pays twice as much to fly the same equipment, at the same base, with a faster upgrade. That could be the knockout punch for Mesa, coupled with their competition in DAL with Envoy (which really isn't even a competition at all). Not to mention Mesa doesn't own the majority of their E175s, so United could easily start reassigning them to Republic if they can keep their planes staffed (which considering that's the reason they're in chapter 11 is yet to be seen).

Edited.

Who cares, just do it. If FAs are complaining then call them every 5 mins in flight for a refill in that small cup. They will get the message really quick.

"We all just do it" but you're violating company policy and subject to discipline....for freeking water!!! Lol. It's like a joke someone makes up. Leadership meetings probably start with a bullet point on a presentation... "How do we stop these bastard pilots from drinking all our bottled water".

Default YV

the planets have lined up for YV pilots to make a cost neutral lateral move. It's the best chance you will have to sneak out the back door. Its probably the only chance many of you will have getting to a legacy. Your life will be better anywhere else. Make sure the psycho YouTube guy finishes his career at YV for all of our sake.

Since when can we not have a bottle of water? I haven't seen any memo on this from the company. Just wait until a whole crew calls out sick in Mexico because they weren't allowed to take a bottle of water for their overnight....I am getting so tired of this place.
