Public Service Announcement:
For those Captains on the EJET. There are numerous FO's leaving before Christmas. If you are at the bottom 10-20% There is a strong chance you'll be downgraded by February. Mesa can't hire for attrition on the EJET side right now. If you think you're safe and you keep telling yourself I'm only here until I get my 1000 hours PIC, you'll be sorry you didn't get out now. Management does not have the money or the answers for what's to come next. Good luck

I think we might actually see Republic open up an E-170/175 domicile at IAH before SkyWest does so. SkyWest still has a shrunken CRJ domicile in IAH. RAH (first Shuttle and nowadays Republic) has had a strong presence at IAH since the beginning of the UA CO merger, and they have enough flying to support a domicile there. They just don't have the domicile because it goes against their (in my opinion non-sense) outstation base system. Also, we have to remember that the main reason we got the additional 18 E-175s was because Republic was restructuring and fixing their staffing issues. Once they are up and running back again they will be in a good position to take their airframes back. But then again, I presume that Mesa's performance will have to decline due to staffing issues, before United takes the flying away from us.

Several emails have started with "With new aircraft on the horizon...." Also an email from the CEO stating they are in discussion to add new aircraft to IAD (I'm guessing 175s) and the current 700s would be "what is by far most likely - reallocated into service with another major airline flown by Mesa."
Just stating what we've been told. Please don't shoot the messenger.

We can be 100% confident United will allocate for their strategic benefit. Unfortunately, none of us are privy to any closed door conversations between Mesa and UA. Market forces will send these jets to where they can provide the maximum net earnings to UA with the least amount of risk.
UA will need to cut/announce a deal soon as these are slotted for delivery in 2017.
United Airlines Takes Over Republic Order for 24 Embraer 175s
Where these jets go will tell us more about Mesa's current health and potential future than just about anything else I can think of. I think we will not have long to wait.

24 E-175 orders were transferred from Republic to United.

I shook my crystal ball and came up with this.
20 of those will replace the CR7's in IAD
That leaves 18.
10 will be the 175's you mentioned
8 will be CRJ-900's for AA to replace AC with early lease return dates.
