In the past, Mesa had quick upgrades. They will proudly announce the most junior captain upgraded in two years. That is true. Then they will tell you that you will upgrade in two years. That is NOT true. The quick upgrades are gone. In the recent past, we were growing and new aircraft were being delivered every month. Now we are shrinking and there are no more new aircraft.

Our current contract is one of the worst in the industry. There might be a slightly better contract in the future, but no one knows. Don't believe anyone who tries to predict what a future contract will contain.

Take a hard look at the hiring bonuses being offered by Mesa. They are structured so the company probably won't have to pay out the entire amount. Also, the tax on a bonus is different than the tax on regular income.

However, there are some advantages to coming to Mesa. You probably won't have to sit reserve for very long, if at all. If you have had training failures or other skeletons in your closet, then Mesa is more likely to overlook those than other airlines.
Since bonuses are taxed at a specific rate, my plan is to use one of my referrals as an off-setter for the taxes I'll pay.

Kudos, for some really class trolling. Haven't seen this level of manipulation since the early ages of AOL chat rooms.

No need to go starting rumors there big guy. The only person to mention NAI was you. Until it's officially announced there is NO flow to NAI, or anywhere else for that matter. If you haven't noticed you haven't exactly been winning friends here. In fact, the more you say the more you seem to be a troll, a recruiter, or just a troublemaker. Nobody cares which one.

If you look a few pages back it was mentioned, and not from myself. So don't point the finger at me. They were right in groundschool when they told us to stay off this website. They said it was filled with the pilots no one is a fan of, and I'm starting to think they're right.

So 30k over 4 years but only for new hires, wow just wow makes you feel all warm and fussy on the inside. Sorry guys out on the line that blows, and I thought having to pay for my iPad was a kick in the teeth.

I seem to be getting a lot of hateful personal messages simply about mentioning NAI. I'm not the person that decides if mesa will get this, and can't stop it from happening. With that being said, I will welcome the opportunity with open arms.

I might be wrong, but also the details of the bonus say that it's only for FOs, so if you upgrade before reaching 4 years, then you won't get the full $30,000 payout.
