You guys are really in your feelings. How is the bar being lowered? Its not the $8 dollar pay raise(for captains) I wanted but not the end of the world. I'm mostly disappointed that guys have been lying in the fight deck about their vote. The Senate FAA reauthorization bill can potentially erase the hard 1500hrs most need and our chances at another contract if it passes but I doubt that went into most guys decision. I would love to see more statics on the vote not sure if alpa releases or even has detailed numbers.

This won't affect Spirit at all you guys are silly.

The result is exactly why we are upset. Our pilot group was completely divided. There was no unity. Unity comes before the results. That is why this inferior contract, which still has us at the bottom of the barrel in the industry was passed. If our pilot group was truly unified there is no way this would have passed. But there were too many people that only thought of the instant pay raise they would get before they leave in a few months from now. Take about selfish. It is the people who stay and will come later that have to live with this contract.

The July seniority list is out. There are 30 more Ejet FO's than last month. And, we only lost two pilots on a "seniority basis" ahead of me. Looks like bumping the bonus has brought in close to the pilots needed for the Ejets we brought on. Although, at least one pilot that I knew left in June is still on the list.

We still are bringing on 8 more EJets this year, so hopefully we will continue to see these levels.

I'm only following the Mesa TA out of morbid curiosity, but I can assure you that while NK might be the Mesa of career destinations, (if you can call us that,) our MEC is working tirelessly to raise our contract to "Industry Standard." And our management has only themselves to blame. No Stockholm Syndrome here.
The sad thing about Stockholm Syndrome is that you don't know you're in it when you actually are. If there was a collective and high percentage turnout and "no" vote, Mesa would have come back with better. It would not have burned down like most of people like you though. UA and AA needs Mesa to continue flying. And NO, Republic wasn't going to take the planes and flying. Or even Skywest. They can barely staff and fly what they have.
You deserve to be a lifer at Mesa. Have fun with this crap contract.

So a new FO could potentially earn almost 70k with all bonus', perdeim and with any extra flying they can do. Plus after year one is an additional 8k. Is this correct? $22,100 bonus, $35,000 base and $8k after year one and maybe $3k in perdeim. My math is rounded off slightly. And if they pick the Ejet that's more than $70.

And us at AA are laughing at you Spirit! So lay off these pilots and fix your own problems!

Will they keep the bonus after these pay raises?
