I have some friends that are dual mil, it's great for them as they only hav to give up one BAH.
Other than that seems ok
As a taxpayer though... I'm always a bit dubious about outsourcing as a cost saving measure.
On that line, the company doing Little Rock AFB turned into a massive diasastor.

Just poking fun. The point of this thread is to find what and where are the regulations, not to debate the validity of a grievance.
I'm sure you would agree that making people double up costs political capital. In the old days we used to say that things like this will affect retention. As reservists the lodging situation is part of our compensation. If we don't like it we can always quit. For me, it's not a factor because I don't need lodging for DWE. I have always been curious what is in the regulations, and this just sparked my interest to do some research.
When you say you find it humorous, I take it to mean that you think it's not a valid grievance and I shouldn't complain about it. I am a tiny bit offended by that. I am sure there are things that you complain about that I might think is humorous, but that doesn't make your grievance any less valid. Do you get my point? Next time they try to save a buck or two, it might be for something you don't find so humorous.
Things won't change unless issues are voiced. Then again, if you don't complain and don't make any changes you might make O-6! Will you get your own room then?

I'm very sorry you were a 'tiny' bit offended by me finding it humorous. I'm sure the folks activated to support Haiti OPS who are living in tents and on cots at GTMO and on the island or those in Afghanistan doing the same also are astonished that an O-4 in CONUS on a drill weekend was forced to room with a fellow O-4 for whatever reason. Just sayin'.
As for my personal preference for a room? Like I said before, I could care less if I had my own room. It's two days of my life, if that is the case, I'm pretty sure I'll live.

I'm pretty sure my original post addressed your question about applicable instructions etc. The discussion of validity was a sidebar but since we're there, here you go.

The point is when most of us were cherry O-1's, we were told RHIP. (It also has it's obligations).
But, I find it insulting to be asked to give more and more time to the military with less and less support. It's not just 2 days a month anymore for most of us. It's not just you're going to be held in reserve, instead it's become an integral piece of the deployment package. In many units, Guard/Reserve guys deploy much more frequently than the AD.
So, NO. Doubling up to save money so that you can ask me to work more....instead of asking for the resources necessary to do the job.
Not only NO, but heck NO

Living through it's not the point. Sucking it up isn't the point.

You don't know, and that is the point. If doubling up is required to get the job done, then the leadership should be able to communicate that. In this case, they aren't.
If you are happy to double up with no explanation, good on you. For you, it's not a moral killer, for others it might be. Everybody's line in the sand is different.
I'm with you. I agree to disagree.

FWIW, same thing going on down in JAX. Usually isn't a problem when there is room in the Q, but on the occasions they have to contract you out in town then it isn't uncommon for everyone to double up (O5's included). With such a large NOSC down there, about half the time guys aren't sharing rooms with squadronmates.
I'll forward you the local JAX instruction to your NMCI account. Says their reference for the lodging is COMNAVRESFOR P4000.1B so hope that will get you pointed in the right direction.
Next thing they'll be telling us not to call the CTF schedulers when you are on the road with the det cell phones, send texts and e-mail instead because data is cheaper than voice....Oh, wait, they already told us that.
