I'd love to hear how his local alpa reps are going to spin all of this at his company termination hearing.
If alpa national retracts the story or makes any kind of apology that is not going to help his case...
While alpa may try to sweep this under the rug, I don't think AMR will be so forgiving...not really in their nature.
I wonder if alpa kicks him out, do they still have a duty to represent him during his termination? I suspect they do.

AE could also do nothing as a slap at ALPA, after all, "Tim is ALPA". What management wouldn't like to keep a trophy of ALPA's black eye?
If ALPA proceeded with Article XIII charges, it's as lengthy a process as any courtroom trial - then comes the appeals. During this time ALPA retains the DFR.
Point is, ALPA members will be paying for this, literally, in the short term and figuratively for much longer.

After reading all this and then reading the article, I have to say I was fuming. Amazing the amount of ALPA higher ups he fooled- not to mention no surprise he beat out all the other candidates to have that honor in the magazine. Not hard to win when you have the arrogance to tell everyone what you tell chicks in the bar.
Does anyone know if he was actually on the CJC 3407 investigation, too? He is friends with the CJC MEC chair, so that may be plausible. I can probably fact check on that one...
Aviation is a very small world... doesn't take long for lies to get back around.

...so he's gotten almost 3,000 hours in just over 3 years...with 2 training cycles where you get very little stick-time for a couple months at a pop?!!
Little Timmy's been fudging times, eh? Maybe flight instructing on the side while sitting reserve? Oh...forgot, he isn't a CFI.

I timed out every year at Pinnacle, even with going to upgrade school. 3 years...3000 hours. Doesn't leave much time for anything else when flying that much, though.... I don't think the eagle guys fly that much.
Granted, my F-16 guard job gave me some breaks, as well as the NYFD gave me a good schedule because they liked me so much.
