They can get him on aeromedical, if his behavior indicates mental health issues.

Wouldn't apply if he just told some chick in a bar that he was a fighter pilot, but in a case like this the guy is obviously taking it to self-destructive extremes...that should raise medical concerns IMO.

LMAO!! This thread is hilarous. The lying about being a military pilot...wow...that should land him in some hot water.

On a different note, I am a Navy Seal special ops soldier when I'm not flying. Two nights ago I infiltrated an enemy strong hold, and using my heartbeat sensor, SCAR-H, One man Army, Cold blooded pro and Ninja pro, I successfully eliminated the enemy threat, with 33 kills and only 2 deaths.

Modern Warfare 2 rocks!! (Corpsemakker on xbox Live if you want to die repeatedly)

I thought we were encouraged not to use the emergency flashlights during pre/post flights? Also, isn't it a little brite out in that pic to use one? It may explain his "eye sight" issues.

I don't think he'll get fired. Dumb ass yes...I-D-I-O-T yes...ass clown yes...fired, no. I think he'll quit first.

It would be funny if it wasn't true. I can't recall a time in my 20 year ALPA career when I've seen more line pilots disaffected, disappointed, disenfranchised, and simply disinterested in ALPA.

Don Skiados (former executive director of ALPA communications) is gone from ALPA. His methods may have been effective in the print age, but have failed miserably in the digital 24/7 wired world we live in. Come on ALPA, get with it! The communications platform and distribution network are dinosaurs teetering on the brink of extinction. 12 years after the launch of ALPA.org and the leadership still doesn't get it - and they say airline management never misses an opportunity to miss an opportunity.

Called ALPA today and canceled delivery of the monthly magazine, easy to do, and is online anyway. If everyone does this, maybe a message, however small, will start to get through.

Saving trees too!

Not to mention the thousands of retired members who ALPA turned their backs to.

Jan Steenblik is a man who probably is totally overworked with the budget cuts at ALPO National. He probably just read Tim's Amazing Life Story, thought it sounded good and since he is a Guard F-16 pilot, former Southwest pilot, paramedic, FDNY firefighter for Ladder Company 12, yada, yada...just went with the story. Still NO EXCUSE for not vetting Tim and checking his fabrications and lies out.

If you really want a case of heartburn, check out what ALPA National staff salaries, bonuses and per diem allowances are. You'll see a real waste of your dues money. Having known some of the administrative assistants who are pulling down $100,000+ a year, makes you sick to your stomach.

Gads, I'm getting sick just thinking about it !

See ya Mates
