I almoast don't know what to say about his conduct.

I read through half of that long post of jokes and started to feel sorry for the guy. I think it is safe to say he just burned every single bridge in the entire industry. The guy is obviously a compulsive liar. Going before those people with all of their credentials and could not hold his urge to lie. And for what? To impress them. He already belonged to the club. Like my friend used to tell his little brother " you ain't gotta lie to kick it ". His reputation is so far ruined not even he can fathom the consequences. That now leads to him possibly being a pathological liar. I hope not. The boy does not belong in the cockpit at all IMO. He needs to be pulled from the line ASAP. I am actually disturbed that this man is flying paying passengers around our NAS with a serious charactar flaw.

I'll bet if you can contact his class mates from the pilot-mill he attended or even talk to his instructor/s. You would probably get a response such as "that does'nt surprise me" or "that figures, that guy was full of it". People with problems like this have always had the problem. It just does'nt pop up overnight. Using the bull**** lines to pick up chick at a bar, fine. If you want to be known as a liar in the end, fine. Walking through life and using them everwhere is a serious misconception of reality. This man should resign from AE if he was smart. It could save time, money and unwanted media coverage.

Hey Boomer, What did I miss? I have been suffering from consumption lately. (Insert the word LIFE into consumption)

Return to gate prior to 3(?) hr delay or face a $27,000 fine per passenger.

So, taxiways are congested, major delays, it's 2 hrs after push....time to start heading back to the gate?

So where are Seggy and ATN? They had no problem trashing another "poseur" with not 1/10th of what this tool did, but they're strangely silent here...

Maybe because John Sluys and Prater's buddies are in this up to their necks?

This is a disgrace. If Prater had an integrity, he'd resign.

I'm pretty sure that is only enforced with regards to a criminal record, I don't think the FAA has the legal footing to make "moral" judgments on a person's behavior unless a criminal court has already officially stamped the person with a certified scarlet A.

correct so far

but remember that Tim was merely part of the problem. The reporter and ALPA National share some of the blame.
incorrect. TM gets all the blame for this situation. it was his creation. alpa's in general, and jan's specifically incompetence deserves separate and heavy criticism.

At a time when the profession has taken a beating, I think we should work to make it better instead of rejoicing at someone's self-made downfall. Tim is not the only one bound by the Code of Ethics.
correct.

There but for the grace of God, go I.
very very very INCORRECT.

The requirement to "be of good moral character" is for the ATP. According to the FAA database, TM only has a Commercial so he's okay on this point ;-)

GUFFAW!

It's just like a real "news" publication. Inconvenient facts and stories flushed down the memory hole.

Seriously, this whole thing is hilarious. This is the first issue of the ALPA "rah-rah" rag that anyone has wanted to read in decades, and they delete the only story of interest? No subtlety, either. Couldn't someone have replaced original "page 22" with an ALPA-PAC money solicitation add or something?

(Note: not anti-ALPA, but that glossy, boring, landfill packing magazine needs to go. It's an overpriced anachronism. Emails, websites, twitter, et al can more than take up the slack, no?)

While alpa may try to sweep this under the rug, I don't think AMR will be so forgiving...not really in their nature.

I wonder if alpa kicks him out, do they still have a duty to represent him during his termination? I suspect they do.

Did he lie to the company, or did he just lie to some poor excuse of a reporter for a union trade magazine? Lying to a reporter isn't a crime, is it?

I'm no lawyer, but if he was straight with the company for his interview and background check, I think his company would have a hard time firing him for spinning tales on his own time. Heck, they'll probably give him a medal for making ALPA look stupid in a very public way.

If this is the case, his union reps better defend him to the nth degree, or they'll get their butts sued off.

Of course, no one with any sense of shame would ever be able to show up for work again after this sort of thing was made public. Sheesh.

If he was fired from a Part 121 airline because of lying/ethics I'm sure that would back them up if they decided to take certificate action.
