If you really want a case of heartburn, check out what ALPA National staff salaries, bonuses and per diem allowances are. You'll see a real waste of your dues money. Having known some of the administrative assistants who are pulling down $100,000+ a year, makes you sick to your stomach.

Gads, I'm getting sick just thinking about it !

Maybe so, but since he is one of those six figure plus salary earners, one would hope he could take the time to double check his stories.

The first thing that should have raised flags was the fact that Tim was supposedly holding down three full time jobs, all of which require significant training, all at the same time.

The vetting was the responsibility of the "committee" who picked him from hundreds...the committee is headed by and hand picked by John Sluys; the same guy who improperly used Flight Pay Loss money to run Praters election campaign. Just like a couple of others did.

It worked. He won. And they've been on the gravy train fed by dues ever since.

So if we're gonna demand anything, it should be the removal of the committee for not properly vetting the guy. By the time Jan got it; they no doubt insisted he was golden and pushed back hard if he tried to vet the guy.

Jan is a stand up person. He did not deserve to be slimed by this crowd.

I don't think he'll get fired. Dumb ass yes...I-D-I-O-T yes...ass clown yes...fired, no. I think he'll quit first.
On the EMB at Eagle they are listed as "additional" equipment so its allowed.

No argument from me. I also know Jan and he should not be the "only target". I still think it should have been reviewed by the Staff Communications Director as well as Jan before it ever hit the streets. Let's face it, the first time I read the article, I was very skeptical as to Tim's "background" as were a lot of other people.

What a total tool bag!

If that in fact was his statement concerning med-ing out of the 177th, then I'm going to take a pretty good leap and say it was for mental issues.

I guess Eagle gave him WN pay for that ERJ.

Sad, just sad.

My guess is he can use that SWA app for kindling in the family fireplace as it's worthless now.

In fact, he has effectively already paid the price for this situation as his airline career is toast. Whether his employment at Eagle is in question would depend on any misrepresentations in the application/interview process.

Supposedly that is currently under investigation.

What happened to the other thread with the "you should all be ashamed of yourselves" post? The one that said we were a bunch of evil people, and that if Tim committed suicide, that the blood would be on our hands?
