I agree to a point.

Will I ever make a hard landing? Guarantee it.

Will I ever bust an altitude or do 270KIAS below 10,000? Good possibility.

Will I ever take off from the wrong runway? Probably not... but I could.

Will I ever land on a taxiway? I hope not... but I might.

Will I ever overfly my destination by 150 miles? Very unlikely, but remotely possible.

There but for the Grace of God, go I.

On the other hand...

Will I ever drive 7 states wearing a diaper to Taser, pepperspray, and beat up a romantic rival in a parking garage? Not in a hundred years.

Will the Harrisburg cops ever find me passed out behind a shed a mile from the crew hotel wearing nothing but flipflops and a wristwatch? No Way. Ever.

Will I make a fool of myself in front of the entire pilot community by making multiple false and absurd claims about my experience to a National trade publication, FaceBook, MySpace, Linkd'in, and so on, including impersonating a military officer or New York Firefighter? HE11 NO.

These are the guys that, for whatever twisted reason, put a smile on our faces and make this crummy profession a little more fun.

I guess some of us are just not as "mature beyond our years" as others.

Oh God help me. That's just sad. Trying to fool people that a Cessna is a 737. Ha! This guy is mental.

Well, if he really did start college at 16, maybe they shouldn't have let young 1Lt Doogie Howser test out of High School so soon.

FWIW, his "apology" on the baseops.net forum contained similar errors that someone who made it past the 7th grade shouldn't make.

I can't get over the grammar/spelling... if you're going to try to pass yourself off as a professional...why not at least try to act/write professionally.... a great TM quote via Facebook:

The 737 has a fully Auto pilot. You just set it and forget it. Put the speed altatude and flight plan in and bam there you go. i get lots of people asking me "What do you guys do during cruse flight?" My answer is simplie. We watch TOP GUN!. What would you do if you were at 38,000 ft for 2+ hrs? It gets bord up there. A good F/O always brings his labtop and movies. Its like a move theather @ 38,000 FT. And we got all the snak packs we can eat. Sometimes Pilots like to act Sifisticated and bring News papers with you. Fun Fact Did you know that 2 full news papers pages can cover up the windshield of a boeing 737. So there you go there is my answer to the most asked question. If you have any questions plese write me as this is a daily Blog.

I love how I went to a great college and busted my ass, put myself through grad school, bust my ass at a job that I hate, and actually do community service for 10 years, and this idiot not only has a job, but a job as a pilot. And look at that guy. Not only would I not shake his hand, I wouldn't even p¡ss on that guy for fear that he'd make me unkempt.

And don't even get me started on lack of ability to write in his own native language. I mean come on, "Altatude???"

My father was 35 years ALPA. I grew up ALPA. This isn't his ALPA or mine. Lifelong friends of my dad are fed up with the leadership. The in house union just filed 3 more unfair labor practices suits against ALPA. One of his friends on the second floor in Herndon said they just had to do a 120 day emergency loan of 2 million just to pay bills.

What has happened here? I'm afraid there won't be an ALPA much longer. The drumbeat at my airline; the one my dad flew with, is growing louder to leave.

I won't ever comment about that disgraceful two page spread. It's an insult to every member, living and dead. And it was done by Prater's hand picked team. You can't blame the writer when he's told what to write.

One thing is sure. The Executive Board needs to step up and recall Prater.

Hmmm...after 5500 hrs flying the 737, pulling the power at 100 feet would not be my recommendation. I'm also not familiar with the "ground lift dump system". I did notice he graded himself a "10" on his landing of the Cessna 737 at Orlando's aux field.

Funny thing is, his spelling and grammar are so awful that it's easy to spot whether it's musings of the Milkman, or he has simply used his cut-and-paste feature (as he frequently seems to take credit for the work of others).

If there was an option for one of these little faces puking, I'd use it here.

I haven't read this whole thread (I'd be laughing too hard), but how did the "Milkman" thing get started?
