Personally, it doesn't bother me, I just thought it would bother you. Thanks for the clarification on the scoolgirl pic and thanks for doing it with respect.

Time to poke a mod....Uh....USMCFLYR...In between training future Jet Jocks and Moderating our beloved forum...Whatcha been lookin at?
"If this were the case, every famous actress who's picture was photoshopped and made into adult material would be bringing such suites. Those who have been successful in such areas can argue that such bad publicity damages their earning potential. In this case - it is what Tim has done that will damage any earning potential in his future.
USMCFLYR"
"To all our APC Forum users is it sad to announce that Lear553560ed is no longer with us. It appears that a Sidewinder missile was miss placed...Somehow...and...not to beat a dead horse...but anyway..He's gone... and will be missed."

I admit it - - I read the trashy gossip magazines while waiting in line at the commissary making my twice monthly grocery run!

People have won judgements before for EXACTLY this type of thing.
Not saying he would do it, nor defending his "rep". It makes no difference what his misrepresenatations were, but using his facial picture in this manner has gotten people sued before.
If there were no potential jeopardy in doing this, by the same token then, I could find a picture of you and superimpose it on [edit; removed the not family friendly comments]

I would suggest, however, that if you think there is money to be made in lawsuits regarding damage caused by internet defamation, you get in touch with this guy (Looter Guy):

There have been more photoshops made of him than there are paintings in the Louvre, and he could clearly use a few bucks. The two of you will end up richer than Bill Gates and Paul Allen.

Wow, just saw this on WPIX.
Pilot Lies About Background? -- WPIX
Just curious, in light of the recent cyber bulleying stuff in the news, how is this stuff on here anything different?
This guy is probably suicidal now that he's not flying and will probably lose his job.

Just like an alcoholic, he may have protections employment wise, especially if he did not misrepresent the credentials required for employment or lied about his backgorund DURING the interview process and passed all required testing. Identification of an illness and successful treatment (if in fact, it does exist) may be there, of course would he WANT to continue in this profession given the ridicule he's received.
I wouldn't if I were him.
I don't know how this could be factored in from a defametory standpoint as clearly he's not only been convicted but executed by the court of public opinion (especially here with full support it seems of all), but apparently it's generally believed among the ravenous masses that illness would be no excuse and death by embarassment the only acceptable sentance.
A sad commentary on both this society and this profession; a profession you would think would set itself a bit higher then the average worker, but keeps proving its descent into the gutter in so many ways.

From: What day is it?
The last time I was "downtown", the President and other officers occupied the ALPA portion of the 8th floor. This is what I was referring to. The President, and selected "special" others have offices both downtown and at 535 Herndon Parkway.
Yes, it is sad and it's going to get worse, financially, for ALPA.
In my view, if enough members get to the point that "we're tired of this %$#&^ and we're not taking it anymore" and vote with their feet, there will be real trouble in River City. I realize that takes drastic measures and talk is cheap; however, the Tim Martins fiasco only exposed a portion; the tip of the iceberg if you will, on what's wrong with ALPA today. Being addressed in a separate thread under the Major category, is a movement from the Delta guys to de-certify ALPA. Will it work, probably not, but this has been done at United and if the "movers and skakers" in the officer group at ALPA don't wake up and realize that the organization in many areas is completely dysfunctional, they may have to sell the remainder of the 8th floor.
Change isn't going to come from the "Good Ol' Boys Club" (Prater, Rice, Wycoff, Couette and the BOD). It has to come from the grass roots; the LEC's and the MEC's. Standing together, they can and will make a difference. Change within ALPA will certainly not come from the top. The GOBC (Good Old Boy Club) is very powerful and Prater is no fool. He knows how to kiss the BOD's rear and keep his $485,000 yr salary plus expen$e$.
If the line pilots don't demand change and effect that change, maybe ALPA can lease back the rest of the 8th floor. To give up Prater's office would be a real shame. It's closer to the Hill than Herndon and there are some great restaurants and cocktail lounges right around the corner. Just check expenses accounts and thanks line guys for the martini lunches with fresh lobster salad !! Keep the dues money coming...the Old Ebbitt Grill needs your business.
Just my thoughts on a bright sunny Saturday.
Have a great day Mates
