Hence the statement to provide accurate and not inflated numbers, but thanks for your input.

For quality of life and not commuting it's hard to beat NetJets. AFAIK only some cargo carriers offer home basing along with a few of the Fractionals. I won't speak to the pay since I've been gone for 4 years but the vacation is very good. After 10 years and assuming the 7-7 schedule you get 21 days off in a row 4 times per year. Almost a part-time job. When I was looking at 7-7 lines it seemed most of them worked half the holidays so you can plug that into your spreadsheet. Another vacation consideration is hotel and airline rewards. My wife and I spent a week in Hawaii with 1st Class Airline CLT-HNL and hotel completely covered by rewards. We just paid for rental car, food, and activities.

Since pay seems to be such a wide spectrum, could I get a someone to help review a spreadsheet I’ve created for pay on the 7/7 schedule? I’ve tried to attach a copy/screenshot here but I can’t seem to make it happen.

P.S. Before the “go to a major” guys come out, I live in an area that would be a nightmare commute and don’t really want to move.

Year 2/3 on small cabin I made $160k on the 8/6 with 4 extended days.

Thanks for the numbers guys. I have my spreadsheet setup with 10% extra pay for holidays/nights/etc. and $20k for FDP. I must be light on these figures because I’m not showing breaking $140 until an upgrade which I just guessed at 10 years.

Also:
If you have a junior 7/7 line, how hard would it be to use vacation to get Christmas off?
Is it possible to eventually get one of the grandfathered bases or is that impossible? Currently a 2 hour drive from the nearest base but heard of a guy flying out of my home airport.

I did 140k on the 7/7 this year. This was my 2/3rd year. I did extend 5 days. I also missed a couple tours for personal reasons.

These are my numbers. 7/7 phenom year 2/3, no extended days, 2 weeks vacation, 1 tour off with Pto, 2 tours with zero fdp.

salary $74k
fdp(night,non-flight & tour) $48k
signing bonus(passing last IBB) $3600
OT $3k
medical waiver(on my wife’s insurance) $2500
holiday $3700

As far as vacation for Christmas I would say not for a couple years. Using PTO to get it off is more likely. I could have taken Christmas and thanksgiving off with pto the past 2 years but didn’t.

As far as the bases, if a new IBB would go through they normally open all bases to everyone on property.

Is the $2500 medical waiver standard if a person has their own health insurance? Just curious since I will have lifetime medical benefits from my current employer when I leave in little over a year.
Thanks

If you elect to not use Netjets insurance you get 2 payments a year (January &July) of $1250

Look closely at what you have covered with what you will have vs what you will have covered with NetJets before you automatically take the $2500. Our insurance is uncommonly good and may be worth more than the $2500 you would get back. Also, check out the high deductible HSA offered to see if it is a better deal for your circumstances or if you could do the HSA and still have some coverage from your current insurance. There are a million rules and everyone has a different personal situation, but what is offered here may be better than the $2500 you could get back. Hopefully you will have that interesting problem to deal with.
