The wee jet is ok by me, at a certain level it's all good, there is a perfection to be found in a humble, Zen simple Aeronca 7AC, you may understand this, or you may not, this may not make sense to you but I flew DC-3's for ten years till they sold the fleet out from under me, I was a happy man then, and I'm happy now. Is everything perfect here? Of course not, but overall for some of us this is a pretty good situation, it works, and for everybody else , if it doesn't work, we are in the midst of the best environment for pilot hiring in a generation. Out of curiosity does NetJets accept R-ATP? Like if someone wanted to avoid airlines and go corporate could they graduate from college and go straight into the right seat?

Or would they go the other way and fly for a regional and then apply? Just curious...thank you.

No, they don't take the R-ATP. At a minimum, you require a standard ATP, 2500 flight hours, and some other qualifications.

This is from the pilot careers page:

To qualify as a NetJets Aviation pilot candidate, you must have the following prerequisites:
Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (Multi-Engine Land)
Current FAA First Class Medical certificate
2500 hours total pilot time
500 hours fixed wing multi-engine time
250 hours instrument time (actual or simulated in flight - excludes simulator time)
Honestly, starting at a regional would probably give you the most options, whether it's going to Netjets or going to a major.

Just to give you some insight, the average flight time of the people in my indoc class a couple months ago was well north of 5000 total. Pretty much everyone had multiple type ratings, and extensive corporate and international experience. It was an exceptionally well rounded and talented class of people. If you want to work at NetJets, I would highly consider getting your experience at a place like Executive AirShare.. a company that does a similar style of flying, where you get the corporate pilot experience and customer service interaction. Hope that's helpful. Wishing all of you a wonderful holiday season.

Saw one of your new Latitudes a few days ago at BUR. Beautiful airplane. Took a quick peak inside and that cockpit is pretty spacious compared to the Sovereign - and the G5000 is amazing. The cabin is very roomy and stylish. I am betting any pax used to an XLS, Sovereign or X will be impressed. How are your pilots liking it? Any initial feedback?

Yes, it's quite an incredible airplane. From what I hear, both the owners and the crews are very impressed with it so far. Nothing but positive feedback overall from what I understand. I'm not in that fleet though, so I don't have any first-hand experience or knowledge.
