That being said, there are 100 bases.

That's a ton to choose from and no, not everyone can live in Elk Snot Montana.

That tells me it's time to upgrade First Officers that are happy to do so and will stay in those positions.

They "overstaffing" in other fleets will be absorbed with new deliveries of more desirable frames.

Or... They can buy hundreds of type ratings for pilots who will simply bid right out again at first opportunity.

That's exactly what they're going to do...besides, a Phenom initial type rating is dirt cheap. That fleet's life expectancy at NJ is very limited anyway.

I wouldn't bet on that.

Firm orders have increased. Sim 2 is coming soon and other supplemental simulator training elsewhere is being explored.

The Nom is here to stay and they're going to make it work.

Default How to update app

Quick question, I think it has been asked before but was answered via PM. How do I update my NJ app? Mine is about 9mo old and I would like to update times and add a LOR.

They might be cheaper than another type but sim availability is an issue and we need to staff the fleet. Wasting sim time on an expanding fleet is a big mistake. We have orders for more Phenoms; they aren't going away.

That would instantly take care of the fit issue. Probably cheaper in the long run, but the company seems dead set against upgrades.

Time to play like the big boys and spend some money.

Make the play. Get it done. More expenditure up front but long term, much, much cheaper.

I moved over to the CL650 in March.... I'm on my 11th year here.... fwiw...

What can I say about it.... the 650 is a 604 with a pretty interior and avionics.

I flew the CRJ nearly 20 years ago and other than a handful of the newer planes in the fleet with the "Gucci leather" interior, it's the same 20+ year old cockpit!

The avionics is the ProLine 21 system. The whole "Vision" moniker has more to do with the pretty interior (cosmetics) than the electronics. Whatever they're calling it now, it's still a core ProLine 21 system.

The weather radar is the best I've ever used in my career... That thing it's wicked awesome!!!!

Not sure what the future plans are for this plane beyond the initial order of 25 .... Keep getting "mixed messages" from HQ...

I've been happy with it so far....
