True....
But one needs to assess the situation by looking at the fact NetJets has FOs approaching year 13, with no upgrade in sight. This combined with almost zero growth and a "fly til you die" retirement mentality... and it's not hard to see that upgrades are nowhere in sight for a new hire.
I agree with you that removing the emotional negativity is a must do when looking at any situation.
I left NetJets after 13 years as a captain and took the VSP. My feelings were that ship has no course, and the rudder is missing too. The risks far outweighed the advantages in my situation.

LOL...that's rich. Let me be perfectly clear...NO NEW HIRE (2016) will EVER upgrade at Netjets again. Not ever. Your upgrade time therefore, is NEVER (yes this is factual contingent upon not having a mandatory retirement age).
Don't take a job here expecting to upgrade...it simply wont' happen. Not even 30 years from now. The seniority list is just too "young", too senior, and too greedy to retire. There is not now, nor will there ever be again, growth here sufficient to necessitate a single upgrade. You've been warned.

I don't agree with this statement but didn't want to waste the time to voice my opinion (opinions and ass holes). G550 wrote most of it for me.

Only thing to correct is I'm PIC and will complete 12 years next month. Involuntary SICs start year 12 in May. Hiring and upgrades always work like a pendulum. We haven't had upgrades in 8 years. Opinion is one road block was fired yesterday. We are still heavy on captains till we start hiring.

I know someone that was hired in 2004-05 timeframe. Great guy. He has flown a Citation for ~12 years. Just got upgraded to captain.... Still on the Citation. Back in '04 I thought Netjets was the cats meow of biz jets. I think it still probably (arguably) is if you have been there for 20+ years.
I cannot imagine being there for 12 years and still being stuck in a Citation. Nothing against them but man that has to suck.
Here is the thing. I think everyone hired at Netjets is airline (majors) material in qualifications. I also understand that there is a percentage of people that do not want to work for the airlines period and wanna fly biz jets. But today you have to be a fool to be a new hire or anyone under 10 years seniority at Netjets and not be trying your hardest to go to one of the major airlines.
In 5 years you'd be 1/3 the way up the seniority list. Make more money. Not have to sit at an FBO all day and on and on and on.
I will be real surprised that is over the next few years Netjets doesn't seriously boost pay especially at the bottom there will be an exodus of junior guys and training will eat them up.
I am not there so I don't know for sure but what do you guys that work there think?
