Totally agree. I don't care if it hurts their feelings. Turn them with extreme prejudice. You'll feel a lot worse explaining to someone's relatives that their loved ones are dead now because grandpa really liked the money and you didn't have the sack to turn him in.

How many crews make the phone call when they see their partner drinking <12 hours before the next day show? None? <1%?

No one makes those calls because we don't want to deal with the blowback. It's all anonymous until it isn't.
At least you know where the problem is found. The good news is that you can find the solution in that same mirror.

that's why I left. Now the only openly blatant safety issue I face is too-fast taxiing.

Netjets Pro Standards? Hahahaha. I tried to get one guy looked at because he almost taxied us into the dirt at PHX at night, among a few other things. I soon realized that he couldn't see anything at night. So, I did the right thing and contacted the CP and pro standards because I wouldn't be able to live with myself if he killed someone. You think anything happened? Nope. That whole program is a joke. Netjets will not change anything until there is a smoking hole in the ground.

Fit to fly is the same thing. Flew with a guy who was convinced we were lined up on a taxiway instead of a runway in KLAS. It is the only email I have sent on a crew member in my career and this was after several night related issues I had with him. He was told to wear his corrective lenses and that is it. Why do I know this? Because he told me that they had contacted him because a crew member ratted him out, he didn't know who the crew member was, but he told me what the "corrective action" was. Smoking hole is the only thing that gets change, period.

No, it isn't. And there are many avenues.

So you actually "ratted him out" by not telling him you will send in an email....didn´t even have the guts to tell him when he approached you to tell you the story.....really smooth Jetlife, really smooth..

And don´t get me wrong, I am not criticizing your action, just your way to do business

Got to have the balls to tell people in person...just my 5 cents
