Company recurrent this week and AJ made it seem like something was going to happen soon with our elderly without actually saying it. Dropping to 1800 pilots is a bit of a stretch at this point. Anything is possible with a board of directors running this place.
I'm pondering a spirit class this week. Hired last week and I sit 200ish from the bottom here. Any other offer I would be over the moon. Decisions decisions

My uber driver last week going to work told me that same thing happened for him. He interviewed in may and has moved on as have the others in his group. It's been a train wreck process ever since Derinda left many years ago.

You will lose out big time on vacations, especially since you are probably at 4 now with NJ (or will be next year). My understanding is that Spirit has very good work rules with regard to dropping trips. You could create some vacations that way, albeit with no pay.
Airbus is nice.
I'm happy at NJA but there is so much that is unknown. No one really knows what the long range plans are. I'm fairly certain that an age 65 rule is coming, which would be a big deal.
PM So Wonwee on here. He was at NJA and went to Spirit. He is at SWA now. I'm not sure how often he comes on here anymore.

"We monitor and analyze crewmember alertness based on circadian rhythms, sleep and travel patterns, and other variables..."
...and then completely disregard that information.
That's complete horsesh*t. The head of scheduling told me, to my face in response to my question about it, that circadian rhythms weren't taken into account. Why? Because those extra variables made the scheduling software "not work as well."
Yeah.
On a more positive note, the new web site looks nice.

The only safeguard a NetJets pilot has against fatiguing schedules is the fatigue call unfortunately.

Does anyone know why they're interviewing guys with no class dates scheduled yet? I bumped into a guy yesterday who interviewed almost a year ago, was offered the position, then nothing.
There must be some kind of reasoning behind it. Just testing the water maybe?
