Cool

I truely can't believe how any respectable business could expect to hire professional pilots who spent tens of thousands of dollars on their training, and only pay them 18-24 dollars an hour. It is highway robbery. i would love to fly for an airline im just not sure i can handle a paycut of that magnitude. At that pay you should be able to qualify for food stamps. Its a shame.

This industry blows.

When there are FOs elsewhere making more than your captains, I'd say that's a red flag. The days of the quick upgrade are OVER.

So they have already had a class, they have another one on March 22 and another scheduled with people in it on April 19. Has anything been announced about more airplanes or are that many people leaving and this is just for attrition.

Seems like attrition. The April class may leave us a little heavier than normal. Some pilots have left, not sure if others are leaving.

Nothing new from the top about new airplanes, but it has been reported that some guys from CAL were out in Cleveland recently taking measurements on the airplanes and when asked they said it was for IAH operations to begin in the spring...

Heard they still may be interviewing. Anybody know about training contracts or having to give up seniority number?

Yes, you have to either give up your seniority at your airline or sign a 2 year $12,000 training contract in which $500 is taken off for each month of service.

Hey guys, I got an interview here next week and I was wondering if anyone has any updates on training whether there is still a pool or if you go straight into class? Also if there is any truth to the rumor of an IAH base opening in the near future? Thanks everyone.
