Thanks all for your support of the PinnaColAba group. It is nice to know not everyone is kicking sand in our face. I am not looking looking forward to seeing my wife when I get home. She is probably going to cry.

Yeah....that really wasn't my intention at all, though I can see how it makes me out to look like a d-bag. Sorry to all the Pinnacle/Colgan guys. I knew we were looking at markets in Houston, but I wasn't sure if it was more EAS flying, or whatever. I thought maybe this was just a coincidence. Perhaps I was wrong in doing so. My apologies. Forget I asked...

This is what frustrates me, we love flying but it's just a job! It's a way for us to provide for our families. People who operate from management don't care about the employees, they say it's what is best for the company and it's employees but it boils down to what they want to do. There is more to life than this crap and I hope that you and your wife have a close relationship and are able to get past this!

There is a rumor going around that Silver will be taking over the Colgan routes out of IAD now that Pinnacle has filed for Bankruptcy. They have also asked the court to reject 16 Saab leases - this could be growth for Silver now.

Weeks ago, I read that Silver was submitting bids for EAS flying out of Dulles to 1 or 2 towns. I just wan't sure if what everyones been "hearing" about Houston was something along these lines, or more code-sharing with United. My point was that what we've been hearing is starting to make sense. Sorry for inadvertently kicking sand in anyone's face.

Rumors will run, I love how you are so behind this rumor and it's still the morning after they filled. When AA filled and said they were parking the ATRs in DFW, the rumor how Pinnacle was going to fly the Q400 for AA in DFW, look at it 4 months later Pinnacle is in bankruptcy and saying that it will park all of it's Q400 by November!

Guys you always just take pilot cost into account, but please understand that there is more to the picture. No offense to the Colgan guys, but Colgan before being purchased by Pinnacle operated just like Silver.... As cheap as it gets, and were unable to maintain the business format. The pay between Colgan and Silver is comparable. You guys think that you could do it cheaper and your management might enter into a code share or a contract with United but all put you at risk, you will absorb all the risk. Your management it's force to do this because if EAS routes are likely to decrease in the future. United, Delta, US AIrways and AMR are abandoning certain EAS routes because it's not const effective or generating the revenue. These airlines are also looking at parking smaller aircraft, these SF340 you guys are flying came from Eagle to Colgan and now to Silver.

I don't want this flying at the expense of another persons job. Really sucks to hear this.

This is a "Golden" opportunity (pardon the pun) for Silver Airways to take over the ex-Colgan Q flying and get a nice CPA that allows them to prove themselves as a reliable major partner and maybe that could lead to flying some of the coming wave of large RJs for the majors.
