Chill out Mr. 1,000 hours, he simply asked as question. At no pint did he quote your thread. You are not the only pilot looking for a job!

To answer both questions
-I waited for about 2 weeks in December. Others in the current class had to wait months. Depends on when the next class is and how many.
-They do hire low time <500 total.

I was hired with 340/110. Turned it down though.

When I read the post it looked to me like he was saying it was not realistic for them to call me with low times, and that is why I responded.

But then after reading it a couple of times I realized it was just a statement he was making and not at all related to my previous post. And that is why I edited my post right away, but it looks like some people are here refreshing the page every minute just to look for something to b!tch about.

I am sorry English is my second language and I may make mistakes or understand things differently some times. I am so sorry

Where'd you get the multi time? To me that always seemed like the big hurdle.

I did the Multi track at Riddle, so everything after Private was in the TwinStar. Luckily the GI Bill footed the bill. Pardon my pun. Ha!

Ya, I was. I realized that it wasn't worth it to me though. 2-leg commute to a base in the middle on nowhere with all day trips, 11 days off and spending most of those days commuting back and forth to work. Not to mention rent in two cities and no per diem because of said day trips. 24 month training contract was also unsettling. I took a job as a dispatcher making twice what an FO makes, and I'll do my CFI on the side and eventually do that full-time. I want that opportunity to build my character as a pilot as well. Call me a puss, whimp, whatever, but at 340tt I just didn't feel ready either. I'm only 23 so there's no rush, SkyWest will always be there.

I'm not knocking you all who chose to go. Everyone is different and in the end, not going was my best option. (I hope! )

Good luck all!
